  • FMU x PBMW = Car Of The Year? Only If You Help!

Just like last year, Performance BMW has given us a great opportunity. All we need to cash in on it is one thing — your help.

You may remember a post similar to this last year, when our BMW Z3M Roadster was in the running for Car of The Year 2010. Sadly, we didn’t take the top prize, but we think the car in question has a very good chance of pulling off a podium slot this year, as it’s not like much else in the running. Which car is it, you ask? It’s this one:

And how exactly do you submit your choices for car of the year, you might ask? Well, allow us to answer that question with another picture:

If white-on-pink isn’t a good color scheme for you, here’s a text-based answer to that question. Put your top three choices in an e-mail addressed to pbmw@unity-media.com, and that’s all it takes. In the event you don’t feel like making the X5 all three of your choices, here are the rest of them. Some pics may be a bit blurry, and if you’re having a hard time reading them, head out to your local Borders store and give print media a reason to keep making things on paper, rather than the internet. If the pictures are REALLY blurry, you should probably put the bottle down and take a nap, Hoss. Otherwise, here are the other choices, a few of which you may recognize even if you don’t read PBMW as regularly as we do:

Happy voting! And if you’re from the midwestern part of the United States (a.k.a. flyover territory), be careful outside today. We’ll be going from 0 to 6 inches of snow in a day or so, so watch out for everybody ELSE out there. Keep your extra coat in the trunk and your emergency brake cables tight, it’s gonna be a fun night.

the X5 truly deserves to win, it broke the mold for what a X5 should look like in my book.

Thank you, Jaze. We hope it'll at least place above the bolt-on cars *cough*IND*cough*.

But that M635CSi with custom bodywork is an absolute beast of a car.

true indeed, as well as the v10 e46M.

i know that car has hundreds of hours in fab including custom subframe and the wiring must have been a massive PITA.

Truth. It's the builders/owners that go for the unknowns that really deserve the top honors, in my* opinion.
