That 4.6 Romeo is an AWESOME engine to force air into, especially in Explorer trim. The trans should be fine 'till upwards of 400ft-lbs, if I'm remembering my numbers correctly. My worry in your case would be the transfer case, as that is the weakest link in the Explorer driveline. Good luck with the build, I REALLY look forward to hearing this thing scream; that's one of the best-sounding engines ever made.
