  • Exhaust tips

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread guys - Didn't know where else to put this

First - my project/daily driver - Roxanne. 2006 Ford Mustang GT Convertible. I've done a few performance and taste mods (more to come) and decided to get my wheels and tires right before getting low. Since it's my daily, I don't plan on being a street sweeper etc etc, we all know it'll be low.

But first a simple exhaust tip switch. I've already got some Borla mufflers on there and they sound great but I want to spice them up a bit.

    First, how she sits now.

Ok, exhaust. I like the large rolled stainless tips but I want something different. The '13 GT500's have dual tip exhaust but I would have to do body work to get them to fit right. So, we compromise and photoshop to see how they look.

Obviously just an idea, but I like the look. I was thinking of getting a shop to fab up some new tips. The lower tip would be a couple inches shorter and kicked out a bit while the upper tip would sit pretty much where the stock exhaust sits. I like the rolled stainless look too.

I have no experience or tools with metal work like that though. Since we have guys doing some pretty slick work on here, anybody know how hard/expensive this would be to get right? The car is pretty clean and I'm willing to get this done right. I would like a bit of knowledge about the process first though so I know if I'm getting bs'd later.

(If anybody has recommendations on a good exhaust shop in the DFW area too that'd be cool.)

    As always, thanks for looking.
