Two piece wheels?

Sorry if I over looked this, I did a quick search. My question is sealant necessary when refinishing two piece wheels? If so I assume the bead goes towards the out side near the lip?

It depends on the construction.

If the lip comes off and the face/barrel is one (i.e. BBS RM, Rial Daytona, Artec L, etc) you need to seal the area where the lip goes together with the barrel.

If the face comes out as one unit and the lip/barrel are in one piece or welded, you don't need sealant. Most Japanese wheels and 2 piece wheels in general are this construction.

Okay thank you sir. They are algernon Intelesse so the lip and barrel are welded together.
