  • Help dummie to build coilovers (e28)

    Hello!

I am considering to build my own coilovers for my e28 and was hoping that you, smarter guys, can give me some advice. So I was considering that if i would use e30 iX or Corrado g60 front shocks and some van's rear shocks (should be shorter and stiffer) and then rebuild original rear shocks to put the van shock into it as it is in front. Then i can play with the length of the strut housings. Will this system work?

Do you have any fabrication skills? Also there are custom coil-overs that people build with in depth descriptions for old BMW's I've seen them even in the short time I have lurked on this thread so try taking a look around on some older model BMW build threads. Not incredibly helpful but your not too direct with your question. What is your goal with the coilovers? Laying frame or a decent drop?

Thnaks for your answer. Well, I consider myself more "built not bought" guy, so I'm up to try to do things myself. Well I would like to slam my car pretty much, and maybe the highest setup would be decent drop, if its possible.
