  • Lowering a 99 Subaru Forester

Im trying to figure out a way with lowering a subaru forester without spending 900 bucks on coilovers. Ive been reading about lowering it on wrx or sti springs, some even say legacy's set ups work too. Any suggestions or pointers on this subject or even first hand experience?

    WRX springs work well.

Your gonna need 02-07 wrx complete strut assembly (strut, spring, tophat), or 04 sti.. You cannot use 05+ sti front struts cuz the lower mount is slightly different... Not sure about the front but rear legacy struts/springs won't work cuz the rear susension is totally different..

Best bet is to find someone local to you selling a set of strut assemblies..

Here's my brothers 2000 forester with 2003 wrx sedan struts w/ tein dropped springs..
