  • Cracked paint from fender rolling

    Hello all,

I just got my rear fenders rolled by a local shop. They melted the plastic seam and cracked my paint a little. I'm wondering if it would rust if I left it alone. It would definitely make me feel better if I sealed that melted plastic and fixed the cracked paint.

Is there anything you guys recommend?

Here are some pictures and I apologize for the quality as it was taken from my HTC.

    Thank you all in advance.

It may start to rust if any bare metal is exposed to natural elements

I used multiple coats of touch-up paint (primer + color) to cover my fender rolled cracks. I once read online Shoe Goo is a great sealer, but I haven't tried. I bought some to fix sneakers and it worked perfectly LOL.

Clear nail varnish for the short term, just bite the bullet and get them off and painted again if you want to be safe!

There is a kind of white putty that can be molded very easily the first few minutes and then pulls, ready for sanding and painting.

Rustoleum's Rust Stop clear should work good. just spray light coats but many coats.
