  • Cordless Impact Wrench

I've been stockpiling parts for Mildred for quite awhile now. I don't have the funds nor luxury of getting a compressor strong enough to power my IR pneumatic impact wrench at home, so I've decided the next best thing is to get an electric one.

Anyone have any first hand experience with these? Was looking at a few on Amazon but need one strong enough to yank the crank pulley bolt off the 1UZFE. Dont want to use the breaker bar and bump the starter. Afraid it will shear it off or something and then I'm extra extra fucked.

Been looking a several models all 1/2". W7150 Ingersoll Rand is what i keep hearing about and I saw it yank off a few crank pulley nuts on hondas on youtube. not sure how well thats gonna work on a big ass V8. any help would be greatly appreciated.

The lack of responses in this thread leads me to believe that there is a significant lack of fucks in this department by the members of SW.

I like my matco cordless tools. I stand by them all the way. Only thing is they cost a pretty penny. Most people just dont use them since there an upwards of 150$ id also suggest the milwaukee brand 3/8 handheld ratchet. Not bad quality and price is nice. I wish i did buy the ingersol when i got my matco. Its actually a little cheaper and stronger with 2 batteries and a charger. My matco hasnt had trouble yet. the ingersols that ive used r overkill for tires and stuff. But id get them for the money. Hope this helps

I actually used the craftsman impact gun ($99 at sears) to do suspension and exhaust. I had to use some PB blaster but it worked like a champ.
That being said when I did the cam on my GTO(another big v8) I had to use a long breaker bar, with a jack handle on top of it, and 2 people pushing down on it.
