Where is the oxygen sensor in vw golf mk4 1.6?

and is it possible that the sensor is dirty and thats why it isnt working right ? and if you can clean it it might work right ?

Follow the exhaust until you find a spark plug looking thing with wires sticking out. That's your O2 sensor. BTW, you can't clean these, replacement only.

There are 2 O2 sensors. Upstream and downstream. One is in the cat, the other is more towards the engine
