  • Exhaust issues

Hey guys. I have 2005 pontiac gto, its low, probably lower than a muscle car should be
anyway I'm running long tube headers on the car, the midpipes on those longtubes as well as the headers themselves hang really low. The whole exhaust is about 1-2" lower than the frame.

My question is: can I tuck the exhaust up higher somehow? Any ideas? I'd really rather not give up my longtubes

The silencer is the part of the exhaust that usually needs attention first, as it is the furthest away from the engine and is the most likely to be corroded by acidic moisture. This is because these parts remain relatively cold and give exhaust gases a chance to condense and form pools of corrosive acid inside the system.

      sorry about the spam bot^

shorter headers or maybe a bend up directly after that?

I don't know much about goats but alot of e30 guys and honda kids raise up their engines to deal with stuff like this

I tucked my shit up in the driveshaft tunnel. Worked really well. I gained a good 2" of ground clearance thatway
