i know a few of you guys on here have the newer generation min cooper/clubman like i do
i work at a shop in Eugene OR. i have noticed and increasing number of minis coming in with no or hard start problems, engine noise when cold or random multiple misfire codes and all of these problems so far have been solved by replacing the timing chain tensioner i personally had mine go out at 60k but usually it happens at anywhere between 30k to 50k miles bmw has made an updated part that should fix the problem for good also if you have an s model the oil supply line for the turbo will fail i recommend searching the after market for a braided hose replacement because mini sells you a new line made the same way and tells you to buy the heat shield for it witch to me is a cheesy retro fit if you want or need any more info pm or post here and ill get back to you
