Just your typical noises and whatnot. Those motos are damn near bulletproof, I've witnessed a 16 year old bust a pan on one and continue to drive for about 15 miles with no oil. Motor still cranked and wanted to run when it showed up at the shop.

Would just listen for timing chain noise, excessive valve train noise, exhaust leaks, stuff like that. It's an older car so just typical stuff that might go over time.

Solid, thank you! I picked it up, against my better judgement. Just needed a car and got it for an absolute steal. Body/Interior are real solid. Drivetrain could use some TLC.

Q: The idle will gradually rise to about 1500 mph at a stop light, most of the time. Sometimes it's fine. What could this be? O2 sensor?

Would definitely like to push the bumpers in/remove them. What's involved with deleting the front bumper, other than the normal stuff. Hiding any wires? Is there brackets to cut off once it's removed?

      Thanks in advance.

Here it is day of purcahse:

If I remember correctly for the 533, there's a little green box by the DME that controls the idle and they tend to go bad and produce a fluctuating idle.

Pushing them in just involves drilling holes in the bumper shocks and compressing them. Removing the bumpers completely just involves a few bolts to get the brackets off the ends of the frame rails and then you've got it all off, only wires go to the turn signals and are easy to tuck away behind the grilles. Search around and you can find DIYs pretty easily.
