Baffling issue on Volvo 240

Basically, I have a 1985 Volvo 245 with a charging system issue. I replaced the alternator, and battery, and im still getting low current output from the alt.. Any suggestions? I have fixed the bad ground from the alt as well.. Should i check fuses? This issue is causing a battery drain

Check the wires going from the battery to alternator, any fusible links, and the exciter wire to the alternator.

Also noticed mostly all of the grounds had grime and corrosion on the loops.. Cleaned them up and gonna replace the battery lead

Also, check the resistance on the seemingly good cables.
