VW Golf mk1 Oil pan

I broke my oil pan a few months ago, from my Caddy mk1 1.6 Diesel.
I've heard an oil pan of a Golf mk3 also fits?

Does anyone know which engine type of the mk3 i should look for?

this should be the same oil pan that came on the mk2 golf/jetta diesel, no? would be just as easy to look for those, although the mk3 diesel would work equally well. this whole generation pretty much ran from 75-99 without all that many changes.
