I'm driving my brothers Mazda6 for a while in hopes that it would get better mileage than my Frontier. He says that as long as you keep it at 70 on the highway it does alright but anything above that it just dumps fuel for some reason. I thought this thing was a 6 speed auto but it is a 5 speed. 75mph sits right at 3k rpm, so it does wind up a bit on the highway but nothing terrible.
Having never owned a car that has 70+k on the clock other than my old b2200...I don't know the tricks. Is there anything I can do to get a bit more out of the car? Say, plugs/wires/better gas/some kind of fuel additive that will help de-gunk the internals a little?
