  • engine bay tucking

i have a 1991 skyline r32 gtr and ive attempted to tuck as much stuff as i can from the engine bay. its my first ever go at it so i dont think i did too badly. can anyone give me some tips on how its done properly? to the extreme?

heres mine how it is now

appreciate colour scheme might not be to everyones taste but hey ho. the blow off valve pipe still needs painting and some of the badges are gonna be painted blue.

so far ive tucked all the loom out of site underneath the front panel. and then some has been rerouted through the rails that the wings are bolted onto (i appreciate a lot of people on here are from usa and certain parts of the car are called other names)
i have ditched the aircon and abs. the battery and washer bottle are now in the rear of the car. and also the expansion tank and ps bottle are relocated above the intercooler. i have a panel that goes over the top of them so they will be out of sight.

i see some projects though and it just looks like its the engine in there. i still have wires and plugs around the engine. how can i make mine better? can anyone help?

    cheers

i will be converting to a single turbo conversion in the near future so that will simplify a lot of pipework. hoping to get to around 700bhp.
and also i have a guy that is sourcing me gt race spec brembos calipers and disks front and rear, so combine that with a race pedal box and twin master cylinders, i can then ditch the brake servo and the associated pipes in the top left corner.

Theres all kinds of stuff. If you get it remapped to delete the MAF theres some freeing up there, convert to electric fans, get a nicer radiator. Its all about deleteing stuff that isn't necessary (like emissions stuff) and whatever is necessary, either relocating it somewhere out of site, or making it prettier. Re routing the wiring harness in certain places to tuck under stuff (like injector wires under the fuel rail instead of over), putting nice loom over it, not just electrical tape. Turbo cars have a bunch of vacuum hoses for pumps and reservoirs that aren't really necessary. And for it to run properly make sure you put check valves in strategic locations especially in turbo cars. Like you don't want to be pressurizing your brake booster, or your valve cover. You also want to make sure things like crank case pressure are properly ventilated.
