I've always had good luck with the Harbor Freight aluminum low-pro jacks. I've jacked up my F150 and one side of a 30' enclosed trailer with one before [which in retrospect was probably pushing its' limits] without issue. And usually they can be had for under $100, so cheap too.
I had a Craftsman super-low-pro jack in Albuquerque, but I can't for the life of me remember the series or model. Only stood 2" high from the floor to the jack pad, I could get it under just about ANYTHING.- Bagged '98 Chevy S10 - Stock '88 Volvo 240DL - Broken '87 Mitsubishi Starion ESi-R - Also Broken '87 Shelby Lancer #707/800 -
