So I just picked up a 1981 Mercedes-Benz 300SD Turbo Diesel. Factory equip with all the bells and whistles including 6 inch tire to fender gap. I'm looking for some drop without cutting springs. Any drop is better than what i have. I think H&R make springs for W126, which is the 300SD chassis, but they're usually on 500 series cars. My question is will they fit on my Benz?

Um that engine is a ancor! The spring rate would be fucked! My suggestion would be to locate a 500sel euro and adapt the hydro suspension and pump to the car. I have done this in the past and am currently doing this to a W123 wagon in which I put a 560sec running gear and anti-squat rear-end with self leveling rear suspension.
Basicly you need a whole car for the tubing / lines, reservoir, accumulator pods and pump for the engine.
The last two 500sel euros I bought for $500 becuse people can not smog them.
Sorry for the spelling.

This particular set of H&R lowering springs unique to the 300SD and ONLY available special order from Germany:
The price is $580 plus shipping for the set of 4 springs.

I'll eventually do that for my W116 1979 300SD.Rollin' Biodiesel in the Bluegrass
