how common is rust on a E36?

hey, this is my first post, so go easy if im in the wrong section.

im looking at buying a E36, i was overly keen for it but now the owner has uploaded a photo of some rust. its given me second thoughts...

Has anyone come across much rust throughout E36's. maybe around the boot area, sills, doors etc?

This is the only place that I have seen any hint of rust on mine too.

Ive seen some nasty east coast e36s. Especially the earlier years. Just ask to see some shots of the nose, arches, and undercarriage.
