  • Noob adapter question

Noob here.. With a noob question.. When I put my adapters on, then go to put my rims on, my stock wheel studs stick out too much thru the holes in the adapters and hit the back of my rims making it so I can't put the rims on with the adapters.. Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone ran into this issue before? If so, how did you fix it?

Grind/cut down the studs until they are flush with the adapters. Or, so that's what I've been told by my friends who have had the same problem.

yes you are fine providing you don't cut them way to short. a lot of wheels have pockets on back so just cut whats needed and nothing more.

Yeah I'll cut em down just enough. I was hoping they'd fit in the holes that my lug nuts don't go in.

Firstly the adaptors might be too thin, how many mm is it? you can grind the studs till they flush with adaptors but remember if you have to grind too much away to make them flush you could be risking it. You need to torque the wheel studs and with a small head on the stud you might not achieve this....
