WTB: 40 hole stern barrels

I'm looking for a PAIR of 17" x 6" 40 hole barrels for stern reverse face wheels only.standard 40 hole barrels will not fit.

I haven't tried myself but talked to somebody that has hre wheels that use standard 40.he tried his on his buddy's sterns and didn't fit

First hand experience with 18" step lip Stern Face 2.
US 40 hole standard parts fit. Fairly tight, but they do work.

These are 17" though so not sure if they are different from the 18s

What I did for my old Sterns was buy standard bore 40 bolt lips and and machined the bore about 1-2mm to make them fit. Just take your face and lips to a machine shop and they can make the centers fit perfectly. Good luck

What I did for my old Sterns was buy standard bore 40 bolt lips and and machined the bore about 1-2mm to make them fit. Just take your face and lips to a machine shop and they can make the centers fit perfectly. Good luck

1-2mm is kind of a lot to machine. If there is no paint or powder coat, they will fit, may have to tap them in with a mallet.

They won't fit. I tried squeezing them in after they were stripped of paint. Lips and barrels need to be machined, not much though.
