borbet A flat center caps

hi all

wasnt quite sure where to put this as its an introduction and my hobby for sale bits

so.... having an unnatural obsession/hobby with all things Borbet A and never been able to find flat center caps and refusing to pay £70 for 2nd hand ones i decided to make my own :-)

so... have here for sale my homemade digital cut Borbet A enter caps

they are £60GBP+PP


so...thought i'd show you what i have been up to at the weekend

perspex like this...3mm x 160mm, digitally cut...



and this is what they look like on some A's





and compared to the real ones (mines on the left )





4 primered, painted and laquered ready to bolt on..



ready to stick on these....





i can pretty much replicate most caps to a fashion and we are on with some waffle ACT centers like this...



to go on these 9.5J rear et14 and 8.5J et 19 front ACT's



not making retirement money on these as i run/own a restaurant for a living, but if i can help anyone out i will and if i can get a few beers from my profits then hey, i'm cool with that

mmm...but not sure what yer trying to imply there ...

i made some borbet A caps for myself, out of perspex... friend saw them, wanted a set...so the word spread... you cant buy originals without the need for a second mortgage... i have a real job, this is just a way of earning some beer tokens... for fellow wheel type folk who maybe cant source/afford the real thing... always said they were copies, the price reflects that. i maybe make max £10GBP per set (which certainly doesnt cover my time/trips to the PO) ..if i can help someone out by copying a cap to replace one they have lost, then i will... but i certainly dont have a stash of 1000's sat in my back room trying to fob nice folk off with cheap bootleg cr@p

Its a copy and a damned good one. Not forcing anything on you nor anyone else. Apologies if this incorrect behaviour and if i am deemed to be breaking any forum rules then please withdraw this thread, as was never my outset was just trying to be helpfull and spread the Borbet love

By the way, I don't have the center cap for you to replicate I have Borbet flat caps, that overlap the Kerscher Carmona, and it looks horrible. I know the diamater is a little bit smaller. Anyways if we can get this done, I will love you forever. I need x2

not wanting to sound simple.. but if you only need 2, does that not mean you already have 2, or are you running a staggered set with different sets of wheels front and rear perhaps

i would really need the cap to be able to make one or the wheel, as even with the Borbet ones, where i had the wheels a plenty and a cap to copy, when i made the final version, we had to move the locking hole in by 1mm, which doesnt sound like much but is the difference of it sitting pefectly and just sitting off center so hence the request

i bought 4 ACT wheels without centers and after months of searching finally found one on german ebay... so now in process of making up 4 copies... which will make the wheels complete and a whole load more desirable

see if you can find a cap and get it sent over and i will make you as many as you need
