You do realize that you will get back pay if and when the government shuts down? And that being on active duty, any lender cant default on a loan or take you to court if you are not at fault or have not shown any negligence.

Are you on T-10 or T-32 Active Duty? If it's T-32, you are paid in advance for the fiscal year.

Just something to consider if you're not really wanting to sell. however, GLWS

I do realize that, and I'm not 100% sure what's going to happen still. I would just rather use this money for savings and to fund my actual career (programming and other things) instead of working on my car. The economy and gov't is too unstable with the current administration/legislative branch for me to want to do stuff on the side. Just a personal decision at this point.

Yeah. I know And was saying he got a confirmation that he was getting paid, but coming from a few sources if the shutdown occurs at this point there is no measure that gets us paid.

were gonna get paid, at least until oct 2011, (so ima start beefin up my savings too) this has happened in the past and we GET paid, but we dont RECEIVE pay, but as history so far has dicated, they will pass another extension. the March deadline was suppose to be IT, then this April deadline was suppose to be IT. irritating thing is that this is some small budget that isnt even defense related figure it the fuck out, so i cant order new pens and paper for a year for awhile, oh well.

Exactly. I think we all feel the same way about this. If anyone's pay should be guaranteed it should be ours. Including our yearly raise.
