Selling a set of BMW Alpina Softlines. Genuine, Ronal manufactured.
$1580 + shipping + PayPal fees.
Specifications:
Bolt pattern BMW 5x120, 18x8 front (quantity 2) are ET20, 18x9 rear (qty 2) are ET24.
Hub bore appears to be 74.1mm for E39 5 series BMW's, will include plastic rings to allow wobble-free fitment for other BMW's.
Wheels feature hidden valve stem behind locking center cap
Wheels include 2 keys for lockable center caps
Fresh powder coat (Hammered Nickel) with clear coat on top (wheels were chrome) by BB's Coat A Chrome in Lake Stevens WA - Bob does excellent work and is a real craftsman.
When I purchased them, one front wheel was slightly bent. Balanced out very easily. When I had all 4 wheels spun, the other front was shown to be also mildly bent. Bends in front wheels were taken out professionally by Foster's Dependable Wheel in Renton WA - Tim and Cory - great guys, great craftsmen as well.
Notes:
Two valve stems are new from KSK Alpina, valve stems were reinstalled w/ Permatex Aviation #3 form-a-gasket on the threads to prevent any problems.
Due to the chrome finish being OK, but with some spots of corrosion, the wheels are not nit-picky perfect. They however are very, very nice. They show well from any distance, but are not 50 hours of filler prior to powder coat perfect, like a showroom wheel that costs 4700 a set from KSK Alpina.
Lock pulling caps are not included, for the extra $100, I figured someone can buy those themselves if they want. Locks were disassembled and flushed out with WD-40 truthfully... And they work fantastically.
The center caps were re-installed with 100% silicone, GE Kitchen & Bath, to allow easier removal of the center caps, if the next owner wanted to replace the caps for whatever reason.
The color is so rich, warm and beautiful to me, I am having a set of wheels done in the same color, Hammered Nickel, which is a SUPER light texture powder coat. With the clear powder over the top, these are super smooth and glossy. The powder is just fantastic looking. They do have a "change color" look depending on lighting, in bright sun the metallic silver flake pops like crazy. In the dark, they look a little ghostly, almost with a matte silver appearance, maybe slightly darkening up, but still with a killer gloss. I know it sounds a little odd, but they are pretty wheels, in my humble opinion.
