FT: 18x8.25 Simmons Wheels Three Piece

Hey guys, I picked these up a little while ago, and before refinishing and possibly having them redrilled, I wanted to test the waters on possibly selling or trading them. More interested in trading right now.

I have measured them and attempted to get the exact specs from Simmons (http://www.simmonswheel.com.au/) but they have not gotten back to me.

Specs appear as follows
18x8.25 (not as wide as 8.5", and wider than 8")
et35 (6" backspacing)
5x112
36 hole lips (possibly the same as Work?)

One center cap was spray painted red by the previous owner (not sure exactly why), I think I can probably remove it with some form of acetone, but have not tried yet. Otherwise, the wheels come with all 4 Simmons Caps.

The weird part about these, is that the rear lips appear about 1/4" larger than the fronts, and the backpads on the rears are shaved down a bit more to even out the difference in lip, but have the same offset. This means they're technically staggered, but not actually... One barrel has a slight bend, but could easily be worked back out and it will hold air and balance out currently.

If anyone has any additional information about these wheels besides that they're of Australian origin please don't hesitate to let me know.

I'm interested in trades for 17"-18" wheels, no replicas/fake splits. Would be interested in a set of 17" RS in need of refinishing, Work Equip (5 spoke), or any other 3 piece wheel that may need some refinishing. Feel free to make me an offer for trade, worst I can say is no. I would also consider trading for Air Management/bags as a partial trade or even a trade plus cash on my end depending on the trade.

I don't believe they can be sandwich mounted. But I'm not a 3 piece wheels guru and I suppose anything is possible.

As far as price, I guess I need one even though I'm primarily looking for trades, so I guess $1750 shipped lower 48 for starters.

Those are really nice, but the offsets are too high for me and I would have to buy another set of Adapters with wider widths which would sacrifice lip sizing. Good Luck With your Sale!

These are still for sale/for trade, I plan on refinishing them after the new year if no one bites or offers a trade.

Bump. Decided I would mostly be interested in 17" BBS RS, doesn't need top be the widest set or cleanest, but complete. 8"+ widths would be nice. I recognize its a small market but maybe someone wants to go from some played out 17" wheels to some unique 18" wheels.

Pity these aren't in Aus, you'd sell these easily.

Simmons went out of business when the owner retired, he recently sold the rights to the Simmons brand so you can now buy lips and barrels to change them around.

Another place to buy Simmons parts is whitehorseindustries.com.au.

Thanks for the heads up! I feel like because they are over here they should be easily sold based on their rarity. I might have to look into some bigger lips if I keep them. I know the name was sold off, but I didn't know to what extent they were gone.

I have a set of these in 5x120 18x9.25/10.25. They would need some significant machine work to sandwich mounted. The edge where lip would need to fit on front is too big for lip hole and not flat, so that would need to be reworked.

Good to know! I haven't seen any other sets stateside besides yours and mine!

Willing to deliver for free to SoWo, I can even have 4 215/35-18 tires mounted (usable tread 50%+) so that you can roll around on your brand new wheels in Helen!
