For sale is a set of Enkei Aeronautics (EK84). These are directional 80's wheels that are fairly hard to come by. These are all original finish, never repainted or refurbished. Located in Lexington, KY 40502.
Everything you need to know:
Enkei Aeronautics (EK84)
14x6 et38 square
4x100
Directional (2 lefts, 2 rights)
Original center caps with metal retaining rings included (fit nice and snug)
Original hidden valve stems included (hidden behind the spokes, come out at an angle)
Build dates stamped 6/87 and 7/87
Original white finish that has some knicks/stains
Caps have some small chipping/gouging around the outer edge
Some fading on the cap logos, one of them a bit lighter than the other 3
Two wheels have a fair amount of curb rash. It's not deep, but about 1/2 way around two of the wheels.
The other two wheels have very light curb rash. Each have maybe a 1" spot.
Any rash should be easily seen in pics, just know it isn't deep and could be fixed with light filing/sand paper.
No bends/cracks
I think that about covers it. I've tried to be as clear as possible on the condition and any flaws, but regardless they would look SICK as-is on an older VW. Overall these are pretty good for being all original and 27 years old. They've obviously had some use but I'm sure they could be cleaned up even more. I scrubbed them, waxed them, and now the original paint shines and is smooth. Keep in mind it's 27 year old paint, so with further paint refurb (actual polishing) they could look even better. I would keep these but I need to get some coils for my Scirocco asap, so that's the only trade I'd be interested in.
