          Buy the $400 GC conversion kit, you can go pretty low with that. Then save up money and get the custom Koni's from GC to complete the kit.

            i can just run the gc's and run them on the stock shocks/struts?

                      do the gc's not go very low? id like to have no fender gap with 205/50r15s so the car has to sit pretty low, did you run gc's on your car?

                        if i bought GC's and ran them with stock shocks, could i upgrade to koni shocks later and use the same GC coils as before without having to modify them or buy a set made for konis?

                          Yes.

                          I went the route you are considering. Buy the GC kit and then used stock shocks. It rode like shit end of story. I bought Bilsteins a couple months later and it was a world of difference but by the time I was done I still spent right around $900. I believe BC Racing makes a kit for around a grand. Save up and buy a set of coilovers. Its a pain in the ass doing all the work for the GC kit.
