A bit of an odd post for the group but I've had good luck with my odds and ends on here.
I've had this Rover checked top to bottom several times to ensure reliability. Although I don't drive it daily (I use a Mercedes CLS for that), there are weeks at a time I'll drive it every day. I've had it on road trips that have included interstate, back highway's and mountain roads. It drives like a champ and has never let me down. Yes, it can be used as a tow rig (about 5k lbs capacity) or just a great SUV if you're looking for something a little different.
It always turns heads and has a great road presence. Although it's mostly stock, I have installed a few functional upgrades to help the driver cope with 2016 in an 89 Rover.
A new head unit with usb and bluetooth connectivity was installed last year. In addition, I had new LED headlights installed and LED spot lamps for the front brush guard. Also added LED tag lights for what it's worth.
Other new parts recently installed:
New Exhaust (Land Rover Spec)
-Resonator Tail Pipe
-Rear Pipe
-Catalytic Converter
-New Starter Motor
Engine Management (not aftermarket)
-new ECU (base idle was reset at time)
Fuel System
-New Injectors
-New Fuel Pump
