  • VIP 2000 Lexus LS400-Detroit

It is with a heavy heart I am listing my 00 LS400 for sale.
Need cash for other projects, and the car is just not suited for the long 1000+ mile road trips we do. I just don't have the time to give it the love it deserves. I still wash it 2-3 times a week, lots of layers of klasse SG, and gallons of aluminum polish go into it each season.

Listed for $13,000 USD firm as it sits right now. 156k miles. I am located near Detroit MI. The mileage will go up as i do daily drive it. It has made at least 30 Detroit-Toronto trips in the last 2 years. Took it to florida, montreal, UP, planning on taking it to Maine as well if it doesn't sell this year.

I can do facetime/fb video chat walk around with the vehicle with serious candidates and go over any questions the buyer may have.

It does need cosmetic work on the front and rear bumpers to be mint again, has a chunk on lower left front missing, stone chips and scrapes. Rear bumper has some flaking near the bottom.

I will update with current pictures as soon as I clean and vacuum it from the long weekend's 850 mile road trip we took it on.

Car was originally built by Brett Lyver of Liberty VIP and Rockstar Motorsports. I purchased the car off Brett right after he had the interior finished.

Mod list. Im sure to miss a ton.

    Body:
ls460 front bumper grafted to ls400 upper bumper. 14k HID fogs.

    Engine:
Stock, Mobil 1 synthetic changed every 6000 miles.
Exhaust, resonators have been deleted, entire exhaust has been tucked up closer to body. Brand new Denso alternator, new Lexus PS pump.

    Interior:
custom red microfiber automotive grade fabric with pattern stitching and black welt piping. Headliner, seats, pillars etc all done.
    Dyed black plastics with SEM.
OEM black seatbelts swapped in favor of Tan.
    OEM Lexus black floormats
Hydrodipped center console and door handles
    Matching custom trunk

Audio: Brett did this all and I don't remember the specs for it all.
Eclipse touch screen head unit with Ipod cable-stowed away in upper glovebox.
    Doors have been dynamatted
6" speakers in front doors. Tweeters may be factory? Honestly don't know but it sounds banging.
    2x10" Stereo Integrity subwoofers
    JL amps.

    Suspension:
    D2 racing bag over strut.
Twin viar 380 compressors, 100% duty cycle
Polished 5 gal tank and hardlines
    Accuair VU4 solenoid block
    Dakota Digital Air Ride management
    Pressure and Height sensors
All airride components are stowed under flip up trunk floor.
Front strut towers relieved for UCA clearance
    Studio front RCA
New moog UCA, new inner outer tie rods,
New left CV joint, OEM rear UCA, battle version camber and toe arms.
All new bushings in the rear tension rods.
Trans and rear diff have fresh fluid as of 20k miles ago.

    Wheels:
    Auto Couture Magnifique.
    19x10+6 up front.
    19x11+12 out back.
Tires: I swap them often enough that there is always something new on there.
225/40/19 F. Currently 1 mayrun and 1 achilles. The mayrun has 60k miles on...amazing durability
    255/35/19 rear. Pirelli P zero.
NOTE: both front fronts had the inner barrels crack in 1 place each. I had both wheels tig welded up. Hold air and balance fine.

    notable blemishes:

Seems at some point someone rubbed through the single stage paint on the top back right of the roof.
There is rust appearing on the bottom right of the trunk lid by the license plate
The front bumper would need bodywork and new paint, lots of stone chips and cracks on the bottom.
Side skirts could use a repaint from stone chips.
Front fenders have some chipping paint around the arch radius.
Rear window is scratched up from someone using a dirty polishing cloth.
Front windshield has a stone chip in it, bottom center. I had it filled so it wont spread but ideally should replace the window to make it super clean again.

Im sure I am missing a ton of info, I will fill in as I remember it.
I am not looking to sell this quick-I would like to find the right buyer who can appreciate all the work that has gone into it both from original owner and myself maintaining it the best that I could.
I am looking to purchase a D3 S8 in august/September time so that is when I am planning on letting the Lexus go.

feel free to message me, or ask questions in the comments. I will add more photos shortly.

I can call, text, email, face time, whatever the potential buyer wants.
Just please don't waste my time. If I had alot of time (and money!) I wouldn't be selling her.

I just snapped those interior pics yesterday. Just got back from july 4th weekend and haven't had a time to clean the car properly. I will add more pics of the mentioned blemishes as well.

Just did moog L/R TRE and BJ, new upper control arm, replacing all 4 wheel bearings this week, as well as adjusting the ride height sensors so they are useful and not jsut pressure based.
Timing belt, water pump and valve cover gaskets to be done next week.
