For sale is my 1997 Volvo 850R turbo wagon. Enthusiasts will understand there is some serious value behind this beauty. Boasts an odd Swedish 5-cylinder 20-valve engine with turbo to accompany it. I don't want to sell my love but my interests have been directed another way. Included is original manual with dealership sales paper. I regularly maintain this vehicle at Midtown Imports, THE place to go for Volvos in Charlotte; anyone can attest to this. Have all work receipts on vehicle under my ownership. CEL is on for a bad second O2 sensor, nothing to worry about says trusted mechanic. Interior and exterior both in amazing condition for its age, you will be surprised. This is a great family car that packs a most sweet punch under the hood. Power-everything with cold A/C and plenty of room for anything your mind could possibly imagine. Mostly stock except for a few modifications to boost performance and improve overall aesthetic.

The Good
Car is in excellent shape and runs like a charm
Turbo
Alcantara Interior
Tires still have good tread
Recent oil change
Red paint is in fantastic condition, no sun damage
Sound from exhaust is just perfect, idles like a boat, but isn't loud unless you make it
Driver and passenger seats are both power-operated
The Bad
Driver seat is still in overall very good condition but it could use a re-upholstery from minimal cracking
Volans show minimal signs of 20 years of use
Shift knob cover is a bit cracked as well
Steering wheel also somewhat cracked (most of these problems are just from the interior showing its age)
Very small amount of clear coat peeling on driver door corner
Driver-side power mirror doesn't work, have to move with hand
CEL from second O2 sensor (recently passed inspection but will need to be replaced to pass next go-around)
Passender-side speaker blown (tweeter is still going strong, though)
This doesn't bother me but may bother those who want a quite cabin when accelerating at highway speeds; the exhaust drones at a very specific RPM range of 2200-2500. I only encounter this drone on the highway when I need to get going but once you get up to speed the drone stops. I usually just let the music overpower the sound.

Not necessarily interested in trades but it won't hurt to show me what you got. I want this gem to go to the right home, I have babied this Volvo. Trying to be as honest as I can in this post but I really believe this is one of the best-condition 850Rs that will be on the market for a while. Buyer will not be disappointed, I guarantee this about the car. If I think of anything else, I will make edits on the post.
