  • Bagged vanagon fs/ft

    I have a 1985 vanagon 7passenger transporter I'm looking to sell or trade to get back into a Mercedes. Lets me start by saying it is not a show car by any means but is a definite head turner. I purchased this van back in June and put a good amount of work into it to get it running and driving no problem.

    I'll start off with the "bad";
    -So the van has the original 1.9l motor which has 279k miles and still cruising. I recently drove this van from Virginia 12hours south to our new home in Florida. This van cruises easy at 70mph and had no issues. Most will view the mileage as bad but I think the total opposite. These things were meant to be driven and that's exactly what it has done.
    -The passenger side has some body damage, theres a dent on the roof right at the corner next to the windshield. There is a dent next to the mirror on the passenger door. The sliding door and the quarter panel right next to the door have been damaged. I am in the process of getting sheet metal to fix the roof and quarter panel as well as getting replacement passenger and sliding doors.
    -There is an exhaust leak (doesn't really bother me, again should have new pipe before sold)
    -Has typical dents/dings/scratches any used old vehicle would have

    So onto the "good"
    -Brand new overhauled suspension. The van has full custom air suspension installed. New bags ,new shocks front and back, new front bag mount. This is running Accuair elevel management. Elevel allows 3 presets and is a height based system.
    -Has brand new wheels and tires, wheels are Fifteen52 Tarmac wheels with custom offsets. I have installed Porsche wheel studs in the rear and use extended lug bolts in the front.
    -fresh tune up (cap, rotor button, plugs, and wires) I have gone thru this and haven't seen anything that stands out.
    -the four push rod tubes will be replaced on the driver side of the motor since they are leaky.
    -the interior is clean, no rips or tears in the seats and the rear seat folds into a bed.
    -transmission shifts smoothly

    I'm sure theres a lot I'm missing. At the end up the day this van is fun to drive and turns heads, not often do you see these vans on the road anymore let alone a slammed one. Runs and drives nicely with no worries.

    The van is currently located Jacksonville Florida with a clean Virginia title that is in my name.

    Äs stated I'm really trying to get back into a Mercedes something like a w140 or w220 will possibly look at w124s. I would sell the van for 6k with the tarmacs or 5k without them.

    VAN HAS STOCK STEERING WHEEL, NARDI IS NOT FS

    On to the pictures(sorry for the first three, I don't why they are rotated).
