  • 1991 Toyota MR2 5SGTE hybrid motor GT3071R - 500HP

    Asking price: $16K. Located in the HAMPTON ROADS AREA of Virginia.

    this is not a run of the mill mr2. getting harder and harder to find in quality condition. quality of the build and parts are exceptional. the pictures alone do not do it justice. come see the car for yourself.

    only selling because it's impractical for this time of my life with 4 kids.

    The car shifts beautifully with no grinds in the tranny. It accelerates smoothly, idles perfectly, and is an absolute monster under boost.

    Body: 9/10 - detailed regularly with klasse glaze and colonite 845. recently clay barred to remove all imperfections. very few paint imperfections, some minor chips on the front bumper/hood and area around the rear antenna.

    Interior: 7/10 - seats are worn and faded in some spots - passenger seat has small tear (about 1") in the bolster. I was planning on installing new aftermarket seats but haven't gotten around to it.

    Brand new gt3071r with upgraded 4" compressor inlet. Less than 1k miles on the turbo.

    9/13/15: installed new oem distributor and proper base timing set.

    I am not in a hurry to sell this vehicle, so I will entertain all reasonable offers.

    The car was tuned by ATS racing in Texas, the best in the country for MR2 tuning.

    Manual steering rack.
    New T-top seals.
    Recent coolant flush with new GT3071r turbo install.
    New stainless steel braided oil feed line.
    Injectors recently cleaned and flow tested satisfactory.
    Heat works great.
    AC probably needs a recharge.


    Power (All these numbers were done in TX with the ambient temp over 110):
    480whp on E85 at 26psi
    440whp on E85 at 21.5psi
    390whp on E85 at 16.5-17psi
    370whp on 93 at 16.5-17psi
