  • 1973 Toyota Corona MkII, Seattle

This car is a great candidate for someone wanting to make small improvements. It's mechanically fantastic, and drives wonderfully; It starts up just as well in the middle of winter as it does in the middle of summer.

The true mileage is unknown, as the odometer is malfunctioning. The original owner wrote 10/03 37,929 for an oil change note, but I couldn't say for certain if that means 38k or 138k. That said, the engine bay appears to be untouched with the exception of plugs/wires. I assume the fan/alternator belts labeled 'TEQ' and 'mitsuboshi' are original. The only issue I'm aware of is an exhaust leak, post manifold. As with most cars 40+ years old, you'd expect corrosion to set in on exhaust tubing. The car is lowered, but rides very nice. The original springs are included with the car.

The chassis is in great shape, showing no signs of cancer at all. Surface rust is present, but currently poses no threat to the structure or body. The body has one dent behind the left-rear tire and a few small dings behind the right-rear wheel (shown in photos). All chrome trim and lighting is in great shape.

The interior is impressive, and for the day, luxurious. The dash has one small crack, but is otherwise perfect; no peeling up or shrinking. All gauges, switches, and knobs are perfect, other than the clock, which does not operate. The seats are in overall good condition. The front seat bottoms have a couple of tears, and the back of the back seat has sun damage. See the full photo gallery for pictures of the wear. The carpet is a bit worn, but intact.

I'm asking for $5500 OBO for the car, as-is, with stock wheels.
    Negotiable items:
Full set of 15x7 +11 Longchamp XR4 wheels with good tires.
FACTORY manual pedal box. The only fabrication required to install a W58 would be a transmission mount and a fluid hard-line. Very easy swap.
