OK posting up my 05 MK4 Jetta GLI 6spd. for sale. I really like this car it is just time for a change. Car has 160k on it and runs really well.
Good:
Replaced clutch, flywheel, and PP approx 6 mo ago
replaced ft brake pads same time
new headlights
tune up with new plugs and coils 6K ago
replaced valve cover gasket
replaced one coolant passage
replaced all 4 tires, ft are NItto rear are Sumitomo
Aftermarket exhaust - sounds pretty good
recent oil change with Mobil 1 (car has always used synthetic)
Bad:
Some wrinkling on ft R fender, as well as a bad blend job
Ft lip is cracked and scratched. Needs to be replaced.
Some of the power door locks work intermittently, right rear mostly
Needs a new windshield (I just replace it a few months ago and it cracked again...pissed!)
Small bubble in Ft. R tire
Stitching coming apart on one seam on driver's seat, would just need to be resewn.
AC doesn't work (I just charged it up but the compressor is not coming on. Not getting any power from the AC control module. Probably fix that and it will blow ice cold.)
Grill Cracked
Typical MK4 Glove box door latch broken (can still be opened though)
All in all it is a great car and is a blast to drive! I am looking to get $3,250 obo or trade for a MK2 or 3 Diesel. Would also trade for a B3 or 4 Passat Wagon with diesel (or maybe vr6). Cars must be solid mechanically and physically. Manual only. Let me know what you have. Car is located in Alexandria VA but I get up to Baltimore area somewhat regularly.
