DROPPED TO 3500 OBRO
Its time to sell my '02 Passat V6 GLX. It's a manual 5 speed with black leather interior. Its logged just under 162,000 miles, and will stay pretty close to that as I am currently not driving it. It has had some "upgrades" if you will. Nothing fancy but I have deleted the clutch fan with a SPAL electric fan kit, B5 solid red tails (except reverse lights), Koni coilover kit, height and damping adjustment front, damping only in rear, A8 front brake rotor upgrade with larger caliper brackets (uses stock Passat pads), BFI snub mount, larger capacity AGM/spiral cell battery, generic roof rack bars with a front fork mount for bicycles, New Depo headlights with Bi-Xenon projectors from The Retrofit source. Projectors are Evo XR with Morimoto 55W bults and ballasts, 4300k temp. Wheels are 18' AMG replica's straight from ebay, Aero style wiper arms from the later model B5.5 passats. ( I get my blades from the dealer, and ask for an 05 Passat), rear wiper arm delete.
Recent work includes new radiator in late January. New heater core, evaporator and receiver drier, replaced just before thanksgiving. Crankshaft position sensor around July. Alternator replaced at the beginning of summer.
Other stuff, I've replaced the missing cargo cover in the rear, added hush mat under the carpet and in random places whenever I had the car apart for something. Both axles were replaced with Cardone Select (new, not re-manufactured) right after I bought it a few years ago. Spark plugs were done at the same time.
The car isn't flawless. The front bumper cover is loose (from a accident from a previous owner) at the passenger side and will need a new cover and brackets to make it sit properly. The rear bumper cover had some dings in the plastic that have been filled and sanded, but dont match paint color. There is plasti-dip overspray in the jams etc. from the two previous times it was dipped. There is normal wear and tear on the leather interior, especially the drivers seat. The pixels in the cluster display fade out in the heat, the cheap chinese drivers door window switch group is very temperamental. Previous owner claimed to have replaced the timing belt a year before I got it, but couldn't provide documentation, so its probably due. The Clutch seems original, which is pretty amazing. It shutters from time to time if you get it hot, and will slip if you drive very aggressively.
Overall, its a great reliable daily driver that I've tweaked slightly to make it a little more fun. Contact me through PM, or email at mel.irishjr@gmail.com for questions, pics, offers. Asking $3500 OBRO. No trades please. Please allow some time for a response as I am at work all day and am on call overnight. After that, expect replies later in the day.

Bonus pic just after it was dipped matte earl white a few years ago.
