1999 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro, 5 speed manual
145,000 miles (will go up as it’s my daily driver)
I have a 1999 Audi A4 for sale. It’s Quattro with the 1.8T AEB block a 5 speed manual. I have owned it for a little over three years and it has been a great car to me. It has never left me stranded but I think it’s time to move onto to something a little newer. The maintenance is up to date with a lot of different components replaced. The timing belt has been replaced along with the tensioner and seals, all of the front control arms, water pump, rear main seal, CV axles, alternator, all new hoses and valve cover gasket all within the past 15,000 miles. The central locking module and door lock assembly have all been replaced within 5,000 miles as well. The oil changes have been every 5,000 miles with synthetic oil. Everything in the car works as should, the locks, the sunroof opens, closes and tilts, and all the lights work. The air blows cold and the heat and defroster work as well.
There aren’t any major problems with the car other than the warning lights on the dash. The check engine light is on because the cat is removed, the airbag light is on because when I redid the interior, when putting the passenger side seat back in, the airbag connection plug, one of the prongs bent so it doesn’t read it as being plugged in. The trunk light is on also because when the central locking system was replaced, the wire that goes to the trunk latch assembly got disconnected. I didn’t bother fixing any of these issues because they haven’t affected anything about how the car drives or how reliable it has been.
There are some small dents on the body but it is overall very straight and in very good condition for a 16 year old car. The paint is in amazing condition and the front bumper is the only thing that isn’t perfect.
The car has been in one very minor fender bender where all I had to do was replace the front driver’s side quarter panel. It was strictly cosmetic damage.
The modifications are as follow:
Exterior
18” RS4 wheels with Falken Ziex 225/40ZR1 tires with 70% tread left
Interior
Custom upholstered front seats with Alcantara like inserts
Rewrapped steering wheel in same material
Custom shift boot with 034 Motorsports shift knob
All door side panels are rewrapped as well
The headliner is rewrapped in black headliner material along with all of the pillars

This car has been absolutely fantastic for me and has been more reliable than I ever expected. I wouldn’t be hesitant to drive this across country right now. I am sad to see it go but I want to try and get into something newer.
