FS: 2001 Audi S8

Here is your opportunity to drive a rare and exceptional car that represents the best that Audi had to offer in 2001. This car is super smooth and fast with its aluminium (Ford is just now figuring this out) body work, Quattro all wheel drive system, and 360 hp sport-tuned 4.2 liter V8 engine. The car handles much like a sports car but can comfortably carry 5 adults through the snow with ease. It is a fairly high spec car with heated, bucket, alacantara (suede) seats, power rear sunshade, sunroof, etc. One of only about 500 ever sold in the US. Its an amazing car that I wish I could keep but a growing family necessitates something with a third row. Body and paint are in excellent condition with no dings, scratches, etc. and the mileage (~131k) is below average for the year. Timing belt package already done too! Located in MD. Asking $8,500. One drove by me the other day in Indiana. They are truly a rare sight on the road.

Is this car's previous owner from South Carolina? Looks just like my dad's former S8 which was very well maintained and never in an accident!

What's the mileage on the car? Rebuilt? Any important details we should know about? I could be interested.

131k miles

original transmission but runs like a top. timing belt and water pump were just replaced. I had it inspected by a reputable Audi dealer and D2 S8 enthusiast who both gave it a solid thumbs up as above average condition.
