  • SOCAL: 1986 turbocharged S50 E30

I'm posting this ad up for my best friend.
You can get in contact with him via email (s_w4ng@yahoo.com) or even message me as I've been there with him since day one of the build and his neighbor. (I see him nearly everyday).

    Steel Grey Metallic turbocharged S50 1986 E30 325e

Clean title rust free four door California car.

Hello r3v, I am regretfully deciding to sell my pride and joy and have to commit to it in order to move onto bigger and better things. I purchased the car in February 2012 from a middle-aged gentleman who listed it for sale after acquiring a new Mustang for his daily duties. The odometer works and had turned 204,000 miles when I was given ownership. It was a 100% stock model, which was exactly what I was looking for considering I knew I wanted a clean canvas to paint on. After researching my options and ideas, my newly acquired piece of German steel went through an extensive aesthetic and drivetrain build through Castro Motorsport in North Hollywood, California. My car has always been garage kept and never been in any sort of accident. I am often made fun of by my friends on how meticulous I am about keeping its appearance clean, washing it twice a week. Every service and modification, even down to the fluid changes, were religiously and professionally handled at Castro Motorsport.

Before we get to the meat of the sandwich, I would like to say that the car is fast and dangerous in the hands of a careless person. I am not shy to mention that I’ve spent north of $27k to bring it to its current form and really hope it goes to an enthusiast that is going to care of it as much as I have. I had every intention of keeping this car forever; continuing, learning, and adding to its build, but as mentioned earlier, an opportunity has presented itself forcing me to sell. Business is business

I promise to be back with something of the same caliber in the future.

While the car is in very nice shape and fanatically taken care of, it isn't part of the 1%.

    - Passenger side fender has had its lip rolled backwards when it caught the tire while reversing and hitting a pothole at the same time. It has since been pulled back to form, but the paint cracked as a result.
    - There is an outward dent on the hood where the hood-support bracket is beneath, due to somebody dropping the hood on the bracket with the locking pin removed.
    - One of the holes in the front driver side hub was stripped, so it’s been on 3 lugs for the past month without issue. You can either re-thread it, as we've done before on a friend’s car, or replace the whole hub and bearing as a maintenance job ($90 hub + bearing)
    - Hi-beams aren’t wired in.
    - Air Con removed since this isn't a daily
    - Driver side control arm bushing needs to be replaced
    - The rear door cards and seats have been thrown out with plans of installing carbon fiber door panels and welding in a 4-bolt bar and rear shock tower braces.
    - As fantastic as the paint looks, the prepping and masking could have been done better – this judgment is left to your opinion
Here are some pictures demonstrating the above mentioned:

I’m proud of the car’s build and grateful for the people I’ve met through the process. This is a turn-key 500hp e30 that’s never missed a beat and has always put a smile on my face whenever I stepped inside. The most unreliable part of the car would be the height (oilpan) – which a few cranks of the coilover’s collars can take care of, other than that, I wouldn’t hesitate to take it anywhere at any distance. I encourage the new owner to stay in contact with me or Castro Motorsport with any questions or concerns.
I also have multiple pictures that were taken during the build - so let me know if you want anything specific, like installation of the suspension, engine out of the car with MLS/ARP, intercooler charge-pipe routing, and so on.

I’m asking $15,000 for the car and everything listed.
$13,250 will grant you the car without the wheels and tires.
Price can be negotiated, but I will start parting a few goodies here and there as consequence – I don’t mind keeping some things for whenever I decide to build another.
Interested parties, please direct your questions here, through PM, or even towards Abbi “ak-“, as he’s just as familiar with the car as I am.

Located in LA county, Southern California.
