  • 1984 VW Rabbit Wolfsburg Edition

Hello everyone, I'm looking to sell my mk1 to get some thing different. I have owned the car for 2 years and in that time I've pretty much rebuilt the entire thing. Here is a rundown on the car:

    Exterior:
    - The car was stripped to a bare shell, all the rust was repaired, and it was completely repaint in its original color, Frost Blue Metallic.
    - The shell has 238,128 miles.
    - All the trim has been repainted black. I have the lower rocker trim and brand new clips, but just haven't put them on. I also have the Wolfsburg fender emblems that need to be put on.
    - The window and door/ trunk gaskets are all brand new. Other than the windshield, its the original glass.
    - I have two sets of bumpers; I took them off to try and clean them but haven't got around to it yet.

    Interior:
    - It is the original interior, but still in very good condition.
    - The drivers seat has rips on the back, but none of the foam is damaged.
    - The A/C and heat have been deleted (I still have the box and all the piping though).

    Engine/ Drivetrain:
    - I swapped in an obd2 ABA with 150,000 miles on it.
    - The motor was completely regasketed and painted black.
    - The engine wiring was converted to obd1 (using an obd1 intake assembly, wiring harness and ECU).
    - I've put in a Techtonics Tuning 272 camshaft and HD dual valve springs. The ECU has a performance computer EPROM, too.
    - The car has a TT short shift and elongated downpipe kit for aba swapped mk1s.
    - Also, It has a full 2.25" exhaust with a cat delete, TT resonator, and Borla muffler.
    - Brand new gas tank, fuel filter, and fuel lines, heavy duty motor-mounts, oil filter/oil, K&N air filter, and shift linkage has been rebuilt.

    Suspension/ Brakes:
    - JOM coilovers with 300 miles on them.
    - Brand new control arms with polyurethane bushings, rear sub-frame polyurethane bushings, inner/outer tire-rods, manual steering rack with polyurethane bushings, ball joints, wheel bearings, etc. Every suspension component is brand new.
    - Brand new hard and soft brake lines, rear drums have been rebuilt, Brand new front rotors/ pads/ calipers, brand new master cylinder and brand new parking-brake cable. Every brake component is brand new.
    - It sits on 14" Revolution RFX wheels with Sumitomo HTRs that have only 200 miles on them.

Its basically a brand new mk1 mechanically. Its a solid car that is a blast to drive. I drive it every day its nice out; the car hasn't even seen rain since the respray. I have about $8,000 and countless hours invested. That being said, I know I'm not going to get that back. I'm asking $6,500 with the RFXs or $6,000 on mk3 steelies with good tires. I AM FIRM ON THE PRICES AND NO TRADES. I think that's everything but if you have any questions just ask. The car is located in Rhode Island.
