***SOLD
Up for grabs is a '97 328. The car was purchased on April 6th of this year. I had intended to clean the car up, slap on some coils and wheels and then daily it throughout the rest of my college years.
However my plans changed after being rear ended about two weeks ago while sitting at a stop sign. It was a low speed impact, and truthfully there isn't all that much damage. The filler piece between the trunk took the bulk of the damage. The trunk has a small ding and scuff on the right side, the rear bumper caught a few scuffs and the right taillight has a small, hard to see crack. It still carries a clean title.
Mechanically, this car is in great shape. I have a folder full of records from previous owners. It currently sits at 173,212 miles. The car has been well maintained throughout its life. The previous owner was an E36 enthusiast, I believe he said this was his 5th or 6th. I test drove three other E36's before deciding to pull the trigger on this one. The others did not compare as far as the ride/drive of the car is concerned.
Here is the current mod list:
-Sparco R100 Seats w/ E36 sliders
-H&R Sport Cup Kit
-AAA Exhaust
-Intake
-Seibon Carbon Fiber Hood
-Automatic hood props
-M3 Spoiler
-M3 Front Bumper
-M3 Shift Knob
-Autosolutions Short Shifter (one of the best SSK for the E36 and no longer in production)
-Tinted Side Markers
-Polk Speakers
-Basically new Autotek Amp
-JVC Radio w/ Aux Hookup
Here are a few pros off the top of my head:
-Ice cold AC & working heat
-Crack free dash
-No headliner sag
-Working cruise
I'm going to be brutally honest about all aspects of the car, as I do not want any surprises on the buyers end. I tend to be pretty meticulous when it comes to cars, so I'm going to point out even the smallest of issues. Aside from the damage from the accident, there are a few other aesthetic problems:
-The driver side has a spot on the lower door where the previous owner said he accidentally buffed through the paint.
-There are a few spots of surface rust on the driver side, as detailed in the pictures.
-There are a few minor spots of surface rust on the trunk, as shown in the pictures.
-There are a small spot on the passenger side where the paint is bubbling.
-The paint has chipped a little around the fender lips (due to the roll I assume). It is not very noticeable.
-The clear coat on the hood has oxidized. It's very cloudy and needs a real polish or refinish.
-The roof has been painted black and is chipped in a couple spots. The previous owner appears to have touched these spots up with a paint pen.
-Front bumper has a few rock chips.
-Small rock chip in window (happened 15 minutes into the drive home after picking it up).
-The driver seat has a very small hole in the middle of the bottom seat cover.
-The carpet and rear seats have been died from tan to black by the PO. The die has worn off the carpet a little in some places and peeled in one or two little areas on the seats as shown.
-Rear speakers are not currently hooked up (because they sound good when you're in the driver seat - but not so much when you're in the back).
-The trunk currently does not latch but I am working on resolving this. It still seals (water does not get into the trunk, it just wont lock down).
Almost all of these problems could be resolved with some rust repair & vinyl wrap/repaint. Or you could simply drive the car in its current state. It would still make a great daily or an even better track/drift car since it is in good shape mechanically.
With all of that said, I am asking $1900. You could part the car out for close to that much, if not more. I am located in central Ohio. If you're interested or have any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM. You can also text me at 740-348-6586. My name is Ethan. Thanks.
