Up for sale is a 1999 Audi a8 quattro / d2 chassis I acquired in a trade from a Mercedes I sold recently. It drives incredible with no funny noises or shaking. Has 152,xxx miles and is the 4.2 v8 with the tiptronic shiftable auto transmission. Its clean title and currently registered in California til August. Body could use a porter cable detail but still looks great with NO paint fade and NO peeling, 8/10 for its age. Interior is grey leather in awesome condition, 8.5/10 for its age with NO cuts.
Car has working power windows which are double pane, working moonroof, heated front AND rear seats, rear seats have electric headrests and adjustable electric lumbar support, Bose stereo which sounds amazing for factory, perfect instrument cluster and radio pixels, Interior wood dash trim in great condition, 19" Hamann rims, Eibach springs, clear corner lights, power front seats with lumbar support, OEM projector HID headlights, etc..
This is a running and driving car but does need a few fixes, hence the low price. The abs light is on and the brake light is flashing. Been told by a few tech friends that the abs module needs a rebuild which is about $100 online. I've been driving the car like that and it brakes fine. Once you drive a few miles the passenger front brake caliper will start to seize. The car still moves but you can feel the drag. I end up pulling over when it does this and I turn the car off for a few minutes so the caliper can reset, then it is drivable again. I believe the caliper needs a rebuild or a used replacement. Not a big deal.
Now the little items...needs an ac recharge, passenger headlight lens is cracked but intact, the drivers side armrest broke off its base but can be fixed with 2 part epoxy as it's metal, body has a few bruises but overall very nice, needs rear tires soon, serpentine belt shows some wear and a few small dollar maintenance items. Like i said, even with the few things this Audi needs, it is still a beautiful and great driving machine, would love to see it go to a VW / Audi enthusiast as it is a great car, but all my tools and computers are BMW / Mercedes.
