  • FS/FT 1994 BMW 540i

I have a 1994 BMW 540i automatic which is in excellent condition despite having 179,xxx miles! I'm located in Duluth, MN but I would be willing to meet/ travel within surrounding states.

As far as the car goes I haven't owned it long, but here is a list of what's been done as far as maintenance goes within the last year:

    -Valve cover gaskets(8/01/13)
    -Voltage regulator (2/20/14)
    -Thermostat (8/01/13)
    -Crankshaft Position Sensor (12/08/13)
    -O2 Sensors (12/08/13)
    -Throttle Body gasket (12/08/13)
    -New Battery (12/08/13)
    -Electrical System check (12/08/13)
-Vacuum test (12/08/13) [hence the throttle body gasket]

Most of these were preventative maintenance and not because they had to be replaced.
The shop that did all of the work also put in an ECU chip that they had from one of their personal cars, and I'm not sure of the brand but it wasn't a high performance chip. Other than the chip and a muffler delete there are no modifications. I had plans to drop it and get some Hartge wheels, but other projects take precedence.

The engine is smooth and the transmission shifts as it should but it was recommended to me that I replace the shift cable soon. It's not a pressing matter by any means. The only reason I did not replace it was because I tracked down a complete bolt on 5 speed swap kit for it, which I can put you in touch with the owner of the kit if that is what you desire.

The body itself is in amazing condition. The car was originally from South Carolina and was undercoated when new. There is one small dent on the drivers side rear passenger door from a motor cycle, but it is hardly noticeable. There is no rust. The interior is in good condition. The driver's seat is a little beat up and needs a new cable for the seat back, but all power functions work. Other than that it is great. It even has a built in car phone...that works!

You can PM me on here

I have a clean title in my name as well. I am willing to trade for other Euros, Mazdas, or Ford/Lincoln/Mercury cars, preferably in daily driving condition, and any unique cars. It doesn't hurt to ask.

And I'm an idiot and forgot to put the price.... I'm asking $3500 but will accept a reasonable offer. I kind of want to sell soon because I found an E36 M3 I would like to acquire, so I'm highly motivated to sell.
