Thinking about switching over to an e38 so I’m posting a feeler for this.
The car has had 2 owners, me being the second one. I literally have stacks of receipts over the years for the car. The car has an m30b35 since 88 was the first year that they came with stock.
Clean title, Odometer stopped at 160,xxx. The car was 5 speed swapped and runs perfectly.
Things Done During My Ownership (in no particular order):
-5 speed swap
-3.73 LSD
-Broadway Static Coilovers
-Big Brake Kit (Rebuilt 750il Front Calipers, rebuilt e34 m5 Rear Calipers, Brembo Rotors, StopTech Pads)
-Sparco Torino Seats
-Custom 2.5” Catback Exhaust
-Lightweight e28 533i Flywheel with Sachs Clutch and PP
-Stainless Steel Brake Lines
-Stainless Steel Clutch Line
-Brand New Master and Slave
-Rebuilt Power Brake Booster
-All New Lines and Crush Washers for the Power Steering System (NO POWER STEERING LEAKS!)
-All Steering Components were replaced, ALL OF THEM. All Lemforder and Meyle HD.
-E30MotorWerks Severe Duty Skid Plate (Only one of its kind)
-Front Strut Brace
-Mark D E.A.T. Tune
-Brand New Battery
-Kenwood Headunit and Infinity Reference Speakers all around
-New o2 Sensor
-Ireland Engineering Polyurethane Motor Mounts
-Osram Bulbs in Headlights and Fogs (ordered from Europe)
Issues with the car:
-AC Blower comes on when the car comes on (switched blower switch with a junkyard one but it didn’t work either, temp fixed by pulling the fuse)
- Shorted wire somewhere within the Windshield Wipers setup (comes on by itself sometimes, temp fixed by pulling the fuse)
- The paint on the hood is chipping
The car will come on a set of e39 style 5s
I have put a lot of time and money into this car since picking it up in 2012. That being said the price is $12,000 OBO. The car is located in Los Angeles, CA.
