Black 1984 318i 5 Speed Coupe - Located in North NJ
I came across this car and couldn't pass it up. Car has had two owners and was left in a garage since 1992. The car needs a few little things to be complete, but as an M10 e30, this thing has barely been broken with this low mileage. Tons of potential in the car. I don't want to move it, but I already have an e24 to occupy my time. The paint is extremely clean, as it has been garaged nearly it's whole life. No peeling of clear coat or fading, only two blemishes as pictured, and they can both be cleaned up/replaced easily. The interior has not been smoked in and is also extremely clean, only needs a few small trim pieces to be complete. Rear seat is stain free. Fronts are equally clean and not torn/ripped/damaged.
The Good:
Original m10 motor with 96k miles. Almost new for these cars
5 Speed
Has been in a garage since 1992, original inspection sticker still on window and original Jersey blue plate on front of car
ZERO ROT- fenders are clean and rockers are solid
Car has not been smoked in.
Interior is clean.
Dash is completely un-cracked
The Bad:
The trunk is stuck locked.
Speakers have been removed.
Paint on the tip of the hood is cracked and has rusted, and there is a small (1 1/2") paint crack in the passenger front fender that has rusted
Cracked Windshield
Car needs a fuel pump. Previous owner says car starts with a shot of starter fluid, but I haven't tried.
Dent in drivers door. Not large, could be popped out. Trim piece is also dented, but included.
Front seats, while in great shape, appear to actually be seats from a sedan.
Photos:
This is an extremely solid car for a project or even daily. You'll get great gas mileage with the stock motor, and, if you wish, this is a great platform for a motor swap.
I'm asking $3k obo for the car.
