1988 635CSi, Alpine White with grey leather interior.
VIN: WBAEC8419J3267214
Starts, runs, and drives without any issues.
Engine runs very well, it pulls strong and passed smog with excellent numbers on the original catalytic converter!
Has a DOT-R sticker on the transmission
Odometer stopped 4 months ago at 193k miles (Carfax and Autocheck will verify mileage)
Interior is in great condition, with only one tear on the base of the driver's seat.
Rear sunshade and premium sound.
All padded leather surfaces are in excellent shape, along with the headliner and rear seats.
Dashboard has no cracks
Heater works perfectly, but the A/C compressor seized and was removed.
All blower motors work at all speeds, including the rear seat controls.
Will include original headunit (still works) if desired.
Steering box mount (common failure point) has been reinforced.
Wheels and tires in excellent shape
I recently replaced the fan clutch with a used OEM unit (was running hot in traffic) and the steering centerlink (Meyle) to correct an occasional bad vibration.
One owner up until 2011 when the car was in an accident resulting in a salvage title. All VIN stickers are present and matching except for the hood. The frame rails are straight and there is no rust anywhere on the car. The paint has a dime-sized chip above the left rear fender, but is otherwise in excellent shape. The 2nd owner bought it in 2011 and drove the car on weekends up until last month, when he decided he didn't want to spend the money on having a shop fix the cooling and steering issues.
It's a solid car with a non-perfect past. It feels great at all speeds and has been completely reliable for the ≈1000 miles I've driven it, and it will make someone looking for a late E24 very happy.
