Selling my beautiful 1987 BMW 635CSI
Car starts and runs like new. Rare 5-speed, perfect clutch, M6 upgrades, including seats and front valance. Black taillight frames and rear panel, de-ambered tail lights, custom front turn signal lenses with internal LED markers, all windows operate, very good overall interior, no cracks on dash, sunroof operational. 1989 short bumper bellows give a euro look. Tool kit, ice cold AC, OEM mats, and new windshield wipers. Several thousand invested to get to this condition. Recent professional paint job, rear Alpina badge, rust free car, rear spoiler, new window tinting, rear windshield screen, rear speaker pods, rear air conditioning and cooler, all operational. Beautiful 7-series 16" OEM Alpina style wheels with almost new BF Goodrich tires, much nicer than the stock 15". Has 225-50-16's that fill the wheel wells great. Car has a cat bypass pipe and parts of the exhaust system have been replaced. Expect minor imperfections, small dings or paint chips, and other signs of use consistent with year and mileage. Fog lamps not working, but everything is there to hook up. Speedo works, all other gauges work, lights, etc., odometer shows 135K but stopped working, common on these clusters. I do have a spare functional cluster for the car. Power mirrors and horn operate perfect. Seats are manual sport seats, but the center console has the switches for the power seats. I am including the OEM console from the M6 donor car with no switch holes, just in case you want to install them. Based on the previous owner I believe the miles to be around 165K, but most of the car has been renewed, restored, no expense spared. I believe this car can be driven anywhere with no problem, has not given me any problem, always starts, recently tuned. However, no warranty of any kind. I estimate investment in this car to be around $30K. Previous owner BMW technician overhauled upper engine, there is no visible smoke or leaks. Engine temperature is always perfect. Very, very reliable. If you have not owned vintage cars, this may not be for you. It is a great car, looks like a million dollars, but as any other old car will need attention, money and love. If you want a new car, this is not for you.
May be open to interesting trades or partial trades for E28 wheels, but prefer to sell the car for $6,500 obo.
