I know this isn't a 4x4 website, but I figured I'd throw something here. Maybe someone knows a guy who has a cousin that knows some guys brother whose sister-in-law's fiance's has a kid whose son's mother is looking to get rid of a Jeep.
Now that we have that out of the way, here is what I am looking for:
-Minimal rust with 0 rot (so basically nothing from NY...Notable places that have clean vehicles - NJ, PA, MD, etc)
-I will not consider an auto, has to be a 5-speed
-Willing to travel up to 400 miles from NY.
-Would like something under 150k. Unless m,aint is pristine and you have some receipts to prove it.
PRICE:
-6-7k is my budget.
Specifics:
If it's a TJ, I'd like for it to have both a hard and soft top but that's in an ideal world.
If it's an XJ, I'd rather a 4-door over a 2-door. 97-01 model years. If it has a lift over 3", I'd expect it to have a SYE and driveshaft.
Either TJ or XJ can have work done to them, as long as it isn't some hacked up thing. I'm looking for something I can DD so a 'project jeep' is out of the question. I'm looking more for something that would be a fun DD and isn't a hardcore 'wheeler.'
