  • E34 M5 Donor Car For Sale

1991 BMW M5. Black on black. 196,250 miles. No rust. Accident victim. Car jumped a curb, sheared off the bottom of the oil pan and the a/c pump, shattered the fan and came to rest on the passenger side motor mount. There are a number of closeups of the damage in the attached Picasa album. The most severe appears to be the motor mount boss sheared off the block. Engine still spins freely and there is no apparent damage to the top end--but the block is toast. Transmission still shifts well--no apparent damage rear of the motor mount. (see photos)
Records show the timing chain assembly replaced at 97k, clutch and flywheel at 160k, thrust/control arms and tierods at 177k and AC system converted in '09. New cross-drilled front rotors from Turner installed on the front and a full set of Metal Master street pads.
Mods are minimal: SLS delete with Bilstein sports and Eibach springs, 850 bushings, UUC DSSR, UUC Short Shifter and a TMS chip.
Interior is nice--PO installed the euro leather items and an Msport steering wheel--still have all the us spec pieces as well.
Throwing stars all have some rash and one driver's side cover is broken. I believe the wheels are true with no issues other than cosmetic. 2 spare covers come with the car. Also included are the stock steering wheel, new-in-box front lip and other miscellaneous bits. All service records from the past 3 years. Car is stored indoors on a trailer--so it's easy to inspect the damage. Located in Madison, Indiana. Asking $3000.

is the block really toast? looks like the bolts were sheared and would need to be drilled out and the pan replaced, but... maybe I am missing something?

I'd be super interested if that's the case
