  • FS, 1971 Hilux, Hydraulics, "that army truck" $10k

Looking for a new owner for my 71 Hilux.

    - Location: Arlington Texas
    - email: swapmeetsgear@gmail.com
    - Price: $10k not interested in any trades
    - Pick up only, will help load.

I have an ad on Mautofied but in respect for the site rules i'm not posting a link.

    Below is all the info.

    Exterior
Completely original paint with military style graphics added. Custom pin-striping on hood and tailgate. Signals on hood are stock (common question), mirrors are factory option and installed when vehicle was purchased in CA.
Some light oxidation on hood, and roof has very light surface rust. Vehicle always stored indoors.
    Interior
All original interior except sheet metal dash pad and door panels and a very basic stereo. Seat is in almost new condition and is what came with this truck. No cracks in the steering wheel.
Dash is unmolested, stock rubber floor.

Sound deadening material on back wall and floor of the cab.
    Engine
Per the previous owner the engine is the stock 8RC block with a 18R head for more compression. Pevious owner was a Toyota service technician and performed this upgrade. Aside from water pump, rebuilt radiator, new condenser, plugs, wires, distributor cap etc, engine is stock and has given me zero issues. Very reliable. As with any engine this age, it does seep some oil around various seals etc.
Muffler mounted under cab, wrapped in header wrap to limit heat transfer. Custom cross member built to route exhaust pipe above frame line.
Recently added 3.77 gears to replace the 4.11's that came with the truck. This allows it to maintain freeway speeds safely without reving out the engine.
    Suspension
Suspension Front: 6-inch chrome hydraulic cylinders with accumulators and no springs
Suspension Rear: Four-link, custom bridge, 12-inch cylinders on powerballs with accumulators
Control Arms: Heavily modified stock arms
Pumps: Two pumps with a shared plexi whammy tank, Marzocchi Pump Heads, billet bearing caps, pumps run at 24v
Hydro Accessories: Two Optima batteries in each toolbox to run each pump
Frame Mods: C-notch, custom-made and relocated crossmembers
Misc.: Dumps, slowdowns, and all other plumbing hidden under bed, hard lines under bed, all metal work left bare and coated with Gibbs Penetrating Oil for a natural finish
Performed By: Owner and Nfamus Air Suspension

    Wheels/Tires
17x7 Centerline Boulevards with Satin Centers
    Backspacing: 5 inches
    Tires: 215/40ZR17 Hankook

    Audio/Video
Head Unit: Kenwood CD with iPod connect
Mids and Highs: Sony Mobile ES 6 1/2-inch components in custom fiberglass kick pods
