  • FS: 1971 BMW 2800cs

    Hello,

I'm listing this here for one of my good friends. Let me know if you have any questions.

I am selling my 1971 BMW 2800cs coupe. This car is a joy to drive. It has very minimal rust for a coupe. They are notorious for rusting out and I would say this car would be very clean for an unrestored CS. It has been repainted unfortunately (same color.) The paint is good with a few flaws. It has an automatic transmission. Mostly stock other than Weber carburetors and polyurethane bushings in the suspension. Has an aftermarket headunit with new rear speakers. (Antenna works!)

    Vin: 2280252
    Clean Title
The odometer says 34,119. I am pretty sure it has rolled over once.
    Tons of maintenance history!

    Sahara Beige / Tan leather.
The stock M30 (2.8L Straight-6) has been rebuilt and runs very strong. Approximately 4k on the rebuild. (With build records.)
The seats are in pretty good original condition with some cracks.
Wood dash shows no cracks and is very clean.
    No active rust.
    Lenses and trim good condition.
    Suspension and brakes are good.
    New heater core.
Windows work and glass is good.
    No dents on the body.
    Blacked out beltline.

    Bad:
Climate control is not hooked up.
    Idle needs adjusting.
Tires are dry but have good tread.
    Transmission leaks a little.
    Rear window switches are finicky.
Clock and tachometer do not work.

    Comes with:
Full original and vintage parts catalogs and BMW mechanic's manuals. In German and English.
    Extra set of springs.
Two extra sets of OEM Zenith Carbs.

Asking $16,000 (negotiable) Would consider some trades. Please send me an e-mail with any questions.

Don't pass up your chance to grab this elegant classic.

    thank you for looking,

    Spencer

I am not opposed to taking more pictures / videos of the car and shipping it if you are really interested.

I would but I just picked up an E10. If you still have it down the road (which I doubt you will) then I'd take it off your hands.

The availability of these cars is becoming slim because people are buying them haha, so I have a feeling it'll be gone very soon!

Haha I would definitely, but wouldn't get nearly as much money needed in the condition it's in as of right now.

                wheres the rust on it?
Hatchbacks, wagons... It's NOT all the same. You want in? Don't get a mazda 3, get a mazda 6 wagon. Don't get a wrx get a legacy wagon. and theres a reason the A3 isn't called the A3 avant... Scion does not make a wagon it makes a weird van, but no wagons

                Sincerely,
                The Wagon Mafia:Inner Circle
P.S. Is your tail a wagon?

                Show cars are lame.

There's a spot on the passenger side front fender that is smaller than a nickel.

                  Some in the rain tray.

and a little in remission on the shock towers.

Price reduced to 13k. Trans won't shift into third.
